31st August 2025 SBMOC Bulldog Run
We were a little concerned that pre-event registrations only numbered 19, and which were mostly anyhow the committee. But fortunately we had a further 29 registrations on the day bringing the total to 48. The larger proportion of total registrations were in fact from non-members which we have to say is a little disappointing given that SBMOC has 100 members.
7 riders came from Waterlooville MCC and who got their own back this year by winning 2 out of the 3 event awards. Well done lads! Best overall went to C Jeffries for his 1980 MotoGuzzi. Best post-1985 went to John Laker for a 2001 Yamaha 1300 XJR. Best pre-1985 went to Pete Brown and his 1960 MAC Velocette. Thanks to Ethel Short and Angela Dawkins for handling registrations, Mick and Al for putting the route together and last but not least TrevorD and SteveS for catering and Don’t of course for storing and trucking all the club gear for the event. 22nd September 2024 SBMOC Bulldog Run
There was only a little bit of rain on the day, so the turnout was rather disappointing at 35 of which 12 were visiting non-members including 5 of our friends from the Waterlooville MCC who were determined this year to get their own back and win some of our event awards…and they did so. Pete Brown taking best pre-1980 with his 1954 Triumph TRW and another WMCC took the top cash raffle prize. If you remember from earlier newsletters a couple of SBMOC members (and persistently JohnS) had taken their WMCC main awards over several years. Club member Al Hathaway took best post 1980 this year with his RE Bushman Special.
